On the afternoon of the 4th Eastern time, former US President Trump arrived at the Manhattan Criminal Court in New York and appeared in court for arraignment. From his formal arrest after entering the courtroom, becoming the first former president in U.S. history to be criminally charged, to Trump's defense in court, the whole process took about an hour. As he left the courtroom, Trump made no comment.
For Trump's arraignment, some media said that with the indictment made public, Trump faces 34 felony charges of falsifying records, and the maximum sentence he faces may reach 136 years. And foreign media generally believe that if Trump is convicted, the real sentence will almost certainly be much lower than this number.
