In March 2013, Mandela was re-admitted to the hospital at midnight on the 27th due to a recurrence of a lung infection. This was Mandela's third hospital admission since December 2012 and his second in March. At the time of Easter in the West, the people of South Africa went to the church to pray for Mandela[5].

On June 8, 2013, Mandela was taken to Pretoria Hospital for treatment with a recurring lung infection. On June 12 of the same year, Mandela's grandson Mandela issued a statement saying that Mandela's condition had improved. Mandela expressed his gratitude to those in South Africa and the world who sent blessings to Mandela. [6] On June 23, Mandela's condition began to deteriorate. The medical team reported that Mandela's condition was "critical" over the past 24 hours. [7]

On September 1, 2013, the South African Presidential Palace stated that former President Mandela had left the hospital and returned to his home in Johannesburg to continue to receive intensive care, but his condition was still very serious and his health was sometimes unstable. [8]

On December 6, 2013 (5th South Africa time), Mandela died at his Johannesburg residence at the age of 95. South Africa held a state funeral for Mandela and flags flew at half-staff. [9]

From 11:00 on December 10, 2013, Mandela's official memorial service will be held at the National Bank Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa.

On December 11, 2013, Mandela's body will be moved to the Federal Building in Pretoria for three days for public viewing.

Every morning from 11 to 13 December 2013, Mandela's coffin will be on display on Pretoria's main road for people to say a final goodbye to their founding father. [10]

On the morning of December 15, 2013, Mandela's state funeral was solemnly held in Kunu Village, where Mandela lived as a child. The specific location is Mandela's family cemetery. Leaders from many countries attended the funeral and delivered speeches, and nearly 5,000 people from all walks of life sent Mandela his last journey.
